Keith E. Macksoud, MA, CRNA, FAANA is a 1983 graduate of Rhode Island College’s Nursing Program, a 1986 graduate of The Memorial Hospital of Rhode Island’s School of Nurse Anesthesia, and received his Masters degrees in Biology from Anna Maria College in 1999. He has served as the Assistant Program Director at Memorial Hospital School of Nurse Anesthesia until its closure in 2019. Currently he is the Chief CRNA at Atlantic Anesthesia at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro MA. Keith retired from the US Army Reserves after serving for over 26 years, and obtaining the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. He is a veteran of both Desert Storm and Operation Iraqi Freedom. He has been very involved in the Rhode Island Association of Nurse Anesthetists and the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists. Keith serves as the FPD for the RIANA, a position he has proudly held for the past 22 years. He was awarded the 2005 AANA Dan Vigness FPD of the year award, and the 2014 AANA Ira P. Gunn Award for Professional Advocacy, and awarded the designation of Fellow in the 2021 AANA inaugeral class of applicants. Keith is also serving his tenth term as Councilman for the Town of Lincoln, and has been elected the Council President for the past seven terms.
