Poole sat on the AANA's Practice Committee from 2016 to 2017 and was the Chair from 2018-2020. She has served in several capacities on the Pennsylvania Association of Nurse Anesthetists (PANA) Board of Directors, including Chair of the Government Relations Committee. She was selected as the first Director of State Government Affairs in PA and has held this post for the past three years. In this role, Jessica was influential in achieving the first piece of pro-CRNA legislation enacted in Pennsylvania, Act 60. She expertly provided testimony in opposition to anesthesiologist assistant legislation at a hearing held by the PA House Professional Licensure Committee and garnered further outside stakeholder support that ultimately led to the bill’s failure.
